Prima Materia

“Prima Materia is a symbol of the raw, unshaped psyche, a primordial essence embodying inner chaos, awaiting transmutation through sound. Forged over years of sonic exploration, the EP is a ritualistic fusion of driving basslines, primal rhythms, and deep, immersive soundscapes. Forest textures, progressive tension, and psychedelic detail merge into a singular vision.”

Portrait of Vasilis Iakovidis, the producer behind Spektron

Spektron is the Dark Prog project of Vasilis Iakovidis, based in Limassol, Cyprus. Built around heavy low-end, intricate rhythms, and organic textures, Spektron’s sound combines driving basslines with evolving glitch-laden sequences, merging industrial grit and forest-inspired psychedelia into a cohesive sonic identity.

Rooted in experimentation and darker psychedelic landscapes, Spektron’s philosophy centers on layering intricate details over hypnotic grooves, creating music that balances mechanical precision with organic warmth. The project continues to evolve, with new material in development.
